Last week, Juice Beauty hosted an amazing Earth Day Fundraiser with PlumpJack Group in San Francisco, CA. The event brought together like-minded eco-leaders to celebrate Earth Day, elevate awareness of the things we can do every day to help save the planet, and to raise donations for the non-profit organizations, Breast Cancer Fund and The Representation Project.
Hosts included Juice Beauty’s Founder, Karen Behnke, and Gwyneth Paltrow, Juice Beauty’s Creative Director, Makeup, and Hilary Newsom, PlumpJacks.
“The event was a truly a success,” said Karen Behnke. “At Juice Beauty, we’re dedicated to developing products that won’t compromise one’shealth or the health of the planet, and we’re committed to continuing to lead change within the beauty industry with the amazing and committed Gwyneth Paltrow as our Creative Director of Makeup.”
Co-Host Hilary Newsom said “I am so proud that PlumpJack is able to provide a dynamic venue, such as MatrixFillmore, to support such important causes and valuable organizations. One of the best parts of my job is being empowered to help philanthropic initiatives that I believe in. I was honored to co-host this event with such inspiring entrepreneurs, philanthropists, and visionaries and am so grateful to have had the opportunity to play a role in Karen and Gwyneth’s partnership debut.
Jeanne Rizzo, President of Breast Cancer Fund, said of the event “When strong women come together to spur change, great things happen. Standing with Juice Beauty’s Karen Behnke and the other amazing leaders the other night, I had the sense that together, we can move mountains, transform the beauty industry, and sustain health and life. Besides, our health is simply too precious to risk doing anything less.”
“I am incredibly excited to see the partnership grow between Juice Beauty and their new Creative Director for MakeUp, Gwyneth Paltrow, who has long used her voice as a platform for healthy living,” said Jennifer Siebel Newsom, CEO of The Representation Project.
“It is enormously important to use our wallets to create change as eco-conscious consumers, and to support companies like Juice Beauty, which has been a trailblazer in this arena. A huge thank you to Karen Behnke and Hilary Newsom for putting together such a wonderful event!”
The event raised several thousand dollars an hour from ticket sales and a portion of every sale from the pop up booths of CADE Winery,ZERO Motorcycles, Ashley Morgan and Amour Vert.
To keep the moment alive, we’ve asked guests to share their photos and videos from the event, and you can view them here!
