Exciting news! Karen Behnke, Juice Beauty’s founder who you’ve learned so much about recently (here and here, in case you missed out!) has deservedly been named a Woman Entrepreneur of the Year in the Bay Area by local nonprofit Women’s Initiative.
This award recognizes recognizes select women entrepreneurs and their businesses based on their leadership and positive contributions to the community through job creation and economic revitalization. Women’s Initiative chose women who:
- Have been successful despite the many barriers that exist for women business owners
- Exemplify how business ownership and leadership is beneficial for women
- Have a positive impact on the local community or the community at large
- Advance their business through innovation.
The whole Juice Beauty team will be getting dazzled up and heading to the Woman Entrepreneur of the Year Awards Ceremony next Tuesday, November 15th, where Karen will be recognized. We’ll be sure to post pictures!
